Alam Kesas Highway.............can play2 with Type R

| i hv a question to ask to all the bros here. i am on full hb exhaust system but last week i remove 1 of the mid box as it leaking because hari2 sangkut at speed bump when going back home . so now only using 1 mid box. i notice the exhaust note a bit louder. no significant diff in performance. theoretically any other effect by doing this? | |

| im sure it not much effect in performance in lower speed.. sound wil b louder due to 1 mid box act as sound damper removed. i think u wil be suffer abit on top end.. anyway, u can gv try, then gv fr here..
anyway, trust setup also use 2 midbox.

| removing one of the center box may reduce low end's torque and increases high end power.. and noise will increase of course. | |

| hey you guys, do you know anyone southern or singapore using 4-1 racing headers for the lancer? what are the performance results? I know reading the civic sites, 4-1 can give even better gains from low to top end. | |

| so far never heard anyone using it.. do u mean something like the RRM or supercircuit header?
4-1 is meant for high end
4-2-1 is meant for low end, mid range.
4-1 should gv good result for 4B11 as our engine revs all the way 6k rpm(high end) at D mode.

| Fuza. In most cases, a 4-1 header will give better top end and will lose out in the bottom end. So, you will lose some low end torque. | |

| Been researching, it would seem the what is said about 421 being low/mid and 41 being top is not true. A good designed 41 can be better than a 421. here is a link and I think the results speak for themselves http://www.ht-archive.com/showthread.php?t=2653813&page=8 Pics (dynos) are inside. dyno was done on a car and same dynometer. quote A while ago I stumbled on this at the Hondatech.com.au site (unrelated to HT I would guess) and found numerous dyno comparisons, using the same motor as i recall. What I cant remember was if the test were "tuned" per each header, or just bolt on and compare header to header.
heres the site http://www.hondatech.com.au/forum/hondatech_index.php
heres the saved dynographs, sorry I didnt save anything else from the thread reguarding the testing conditions and other specifics, when I saved it i mearly cut & pasted the dynographs to a MS Word document.
After reviewing some dyno comparisons here on HT and from this old post on our Aussie domain named site Im starting to see how the RMF narrow or the revised "VTEC Kidd" header is a good buy for the power gained.
EDIT: I did some googling and found the thread but the imagelinks are expired or red X'd, here it is http://www.hondatech.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=575
Header Comparision: DTR, SMSP, RMF, ANR Hytech
PLACING: 1st RMF NARROW 4-1 185.61whp/128.49TQ 2nd SMSP Prototype 4-1 184.70whp/128.98TQ 3rd SMSP 4-2-1 182.38whp/123.82TQ 4th ANR w/Merge 181.05whp/125.79TQ 5th DTR B-Unit 180.82whp/125.46TQ 6th Hytech Production 180.63whp/124.19TQ 7th DC JDM 4-1 174.24whp/124.04TQ
end quote there are many other references that say 41 is better. try googling for 4-2-1 vs. 4-1.

| as i know, 421 wil gv good top speed due to its long ramp. and 41 wil good for pick-up launch til midrange due it fast delivery of power in short ramp. mayb my mistake.. | |
